Let’s keep taking to the streets, targeting boardrooms, and mobilizing everywhere we can against the ongoing genocide. And continue the wider BDS campaign.
Despite the current “agreement” in Gaza, the Israeli regime has violated several commitments, such as allowing humanitarian aid to enter and reopening the Rafah crossing on the border with Egypt. Israel has killed over 100 Gazans, and has allowed only a fraction of the aid trucks that were supposed to reach the Strip. The genocidal blockade continues, maintaining the starvation of Palestinians. These crimes offend our collective memory as Jews; they violate the values that have always guided us, as Jewish groups from 20 countries.
Israel’s Zionist regime has unilaterally violated the last two ceasefires in Gaza and Lebanon. As it is again doing now, using various false pretexts. Israeli government officials are pushing for a new escalation of their genocide in Gaza, taking advantage of having recovered all Israeli hostages. We demand that Israel stop bombing Gaza, fully withdraw its troops, end the blockade, and allow all necessary aid and UNRWA back into Gaza. And that our governments apply sanctions on Israel for these demands, rather than continue their collusion.
Trump tried to rescue Israel and defuse a growing global movement against the genocide by imposing this precarious agreement through extortion on Gaza. Despite all the flaws of this so-called “ceasefire,” we stand with the Palestinian people and their organizations celebrating the relief of no longer enduring the bombs or hearing drones over their heads 24/7. We also welcome the release of nearly 2000 Palestinian political prisoners as part of the hostage exchange.
Palestinians in Gaza continue to suffer from famine, disease, and the destruction of all infrastructure — roads, water plants, schools, hospitals, and mosques. Even if the ceasefire were respected and sustained over time, it would not end the occupation. The “Trump Plan” seeks to establish a colonial protectorate over Gaza, with Tony Blair in charge.
We must continue our protest until the Palestinian people enjoy their full rights: an end to the system of racial segregation, the cessation of ethnic cleansing and occupation, recognition of the right of return for refugees and their right to reparations — and, above all, their right to self-determination.
We must continue the BDS (Boycott Divestment & Sanctions) campaign against all international complicity with Israel’s settler-colonial apartheid regime until it is ended, as in the original 2005 Palestinian call.
We demand effective sanctions on Israel, justice and punishment for all those responsible for this genocide and the intensified ethnic cleansing of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Golan. Zionist troops must be withdrawn from Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem. All attacks on Syria and Lebanon must stop as well.
The time is now. International solidarity, constant mobilization, and political pressure are the only guarantees that the rights of the Palestinian people will be realized. This struggle continues until Palestine is finally free from all imperial and occupying powers.
